Where have you been?!?!

Laura,

I just checked back and noticed your post. Weren't you the one who set this thing up in the first place? ;-) Anyway, sorry we didn't cross paths again this year. CONGRATS on the wedding and honeymoon!

What did you think of MCLA this year?

I didn't do CAGS this year because of the SDL certification development. I needed to get a few more hours at the DO in order to have 300 district level, and I wasn't going to be able to swing the extra cash for both CAGS and the SDL course this fall, not to mention get the work done.

Looks like CAGS will have to wait until next year...

Keep in touch. I'll check back at this blog from time to time, or we can figure a way to get direct contact info to each other.

Getting Close!

I got my housing assignment-a Townhouse single, which is what I requested.
As far as the readings & writing, I am making pretty good progress. I am not going crazy over it, I'm just doing what is required. 500-750 words on the writing is really not too much.

Gearing up...

In the hopes that I am not the only one checking in on this blog, I will simply say that I am looking forward to returning to MCLA this summer for Session 1 to finish up the Leadership Academy. I am also enrolling in the CAGS program, so if any of you second year people are going to be in North Adams from June 29 - July 14 or from Aug. 3 - 12, I hope to see you then.

Take care, and enjoy all your reading.

December Check in

Hey, Group 5!

Hope everyone had a nice, relaxing Thanksgiving. Once again, I can't believe how time has flown by. I hope that all your internships, studies, and jobs are going well. Things here are great.

Just got the application for next summer. When are you Leadership Academy "Veterans" planning to go? I'm shooting for first session again. Seemed to work out well for me last time. I hope that I'll see you all there.

Well, have a safe, happy holiday season!

Life is busy, but THAT busy?

Hey, Group 5- Where are you? Does anyone still check this blog?

I hope everyone is well. I am sure everyone is extremely busy. I can't believe we are going into the 8th week of the school year. It's like that new song by Kenny Chesney, I feel like every time I blink a huge span of time has swept past.

How is the new school year going? Internships? New positions? (not that type of position, Tom). For those of you doing internships, have you met your supervisor yet? I just heard from mine a few days ago. Seems the original one MCLA had assigned backed out at last minute, so they needed to find a new one. Planning to meet for first time the week before Thanksgiving Break.

What types of projects are you working on? I am charged with implementing a new attendance policy, and am doing a comparison of my high school's program of studies, activities/clubs, and sports against those of similar and/or neighboring schools.

Well, I hope to hear from all of you. Have a great week, and enjoy the long weekend that's just around the corner.

Back in the saddle again...

I hope everyone had a relaxing end of their summer and that you are all having a great first week back at school! How are the internships going for those of you who are starting them?

Getting ready to head back to Mass. for a wedding this weekend. Nothing like overdoing it on a weekend when all I'll probably want to do is sleep...

Take care and best of luck with the new year!
