In the hopes that I am not the only one checking in on this blog, I will simply say that I am looking forward to returning to MCLA this summer for Session 1 to finish up the Leadership Academy. I am also enrolling in the CAGS program, so if any of you second year people are going to be in North Adams from June 29 - July 14 or from Aug. 3 - 12, I hope to see you then.
Take care, and enjoy all your reading.

I will be there the 1st session as well. I look forward to seeing everyone again.
I am requesting housing in the townhouses, hopefully I will get it this time!
The reading is going a little slow.
I finally found my password!!!!!I will also be there 1st session, but no cags this year. I've only gotten through one book so far!
Welcome back, Carrie!
I am working on Slattery's book right now. I think that it will be easier having that one behind me. Looking forward to seeing you both again, and having a few at the Pitcher's Mound.
No Kent this year, though... I e-mailed him earlier and he said they didn't have enough enrollment to bring him back this year.
Talk to you both soon!
Hey Jim.
Slattery's book is the one book I finished - I started with that one, too. Now I'm on the Al Jezeera one.
I'm surprised to hear that there wasn't enough enrollment. I keep checking online for the writing assignment and it says that both sessions are full and there is a waiting list.
I'm impressed that you are doing cags this year, too! Very ambitious! I'm not sure when I'll get back for that.
It is more stupidity than ambition. I keep thinking "in September, it will all be over..."
I was worried about when I would make it back if I didn't finish this year, so I decided to just bite the bullet.
Tom, let us know when the townhouse parties are... ;-)
When are the parties?? Every night as far as I'm concerned.
I read Walking the Color Line, and Leadership for Social Justice. I am currently slugging through the Al-Jazeera book also, Carrie.
Did you guys see the writing assignments?! I have GOT to get reading!!! It's just such a busy time of year, I'm having trouble finding the time.
I am looking at them. They don't seem too bad, but the fact that there are three separate ones this year, rather than the one paper last year, is the worst part. I know it will be about the same typing, but to try and filter through it all and pare it down to 500-750 words... UGH!
How about the prepracticums? Again, they don't look bad, but covering all the bases for each is taking a bunch of time.
And the reading is going SO SLOW...
I think starting with Slattery's book may have been a mistake. I probably would be farther ahead if I had worked on the others first.
Okay, so I finally had a minute or two and remembered to go to this blog site listed with the writing assignments. What the heck is that thing? I didn't see anything of value. It just seems like one big YouTube commercial.
What a waste of time.
hey all...I just checked the blog!! I'm heading up for session 2 this year...I just got back from my honeymoon and got married on June 28th (hence why I wasn't at session one). I was hoping by chance one of you would have been there during session 2):(
My friend and co-worker is coming up with me this year, so I'll have a roommate and a buddy since you won't be around :(
Hope all is well!!
